She is the associate chair of the department of theatre and dance, and was selected as the recipient of the President's Excellence in Teaching Award for 2008-2009. Genevieve and her husband, Patrick, have a daughter, Sofi Evelyn. David Leggett Monday, April 13, 2009 David Leggett, Dallas, was elected president of the board of trustees of Second Thought Theatre. This open house is Dempsey's first built project. She designed one of the two houses and acted as the general contractor for both houses on display.
