Alumni Hospitality House
Experience for yourself what everyone is talking about! For the second year, the Alumni Council is sponsoring an Alumni Hospitality House (underwritten by
Joe Seeber ’63) throughout
Homecoming and Reunion Weekend, Nov. 2-4, 2007. Located directly across the street from the Roy and Lillie Cullen ("Ad") Building, in the San Gabriel House Bed and Breakfast, the Hospitality House will be open from noon to midnight Friday and 10 a.m. to 1 a.m. Saturday so that you have a place to meet your old friends and make new ones.

If you're searching for an excuse to gather friends together and it's been a while since you have visited Southwestern, Homecoming and Reunion Weekend (Nov. 2-4, 2007) is the perfect opportunity to catch up! Homecoming Parade and Picnic
Line up to see stories unfold at the famed Homecoming parade! With a wide range of parade entrants, including student organizations, local associations and reunion classes, the competition is fierce for the "Grand Champion" prize. Stay after the parade for the Homecoming Picnic, where reunion classes will be honored, parade winners announced, barbecue served by PoK-e-Jo's and music. Don't miss the good friends and fun!
SING! 2007: Blast from the Past
Faculty, administration and staff are impersonated, current campus events are mocked and fun is had by all! It promises to be another unforgettable year with Andrew Mayo ’08and Kelsey Maki ’08 asstudent emcees. Visit the SING! Web site and register online for tickets to the performances. Please note: This year, SING! is scheduled only for Friday night 8 p.m..
Jameson 5K at Southwestern Fun Run/Walk and 1-Mile Mosey
Pack your sneakers! You will not want to miss the 7th Annual Jameson 5K at Southwestern Fun Run/Walk and 1-Mile Mosey. Proceeds benefit the Jaysn Jameson ’90 Memorial Scholarship. To register, visit www.Jameson5K.org.
The Wonders of Chocolate: Benefactor Recognition Event (By invitation only)
Explore with Romi Burks, assistant professor of biology, the light and dark sides of chocolate and how it emerges in our social lives, our health applications and our environmental concerns. This event is exclusively for members of 1840 and Brown Societies and the President's Council.
Alumni Choir
Former alumni chorale members are invited to "blend to sing" this year during Homecoming and Reunion Weekend. The Alumni Choir will sing during the Homecoming Worship Service Sunday, Nov. 4, at 11 a.m. View the Homecoming schedule for rehearsal times and locations.
Classes Without Quizzes
Now is your chance to revisit the classroom, without studying! On Saturday of Homecoming and Reunion Weekend, join faculty and alumni and student professionals as they share their expertise and teach a mini-class. Each Classes Without Quizzes course is open to all Homecoming attendees. View the Classes Without Quizzes schedule.
Alumni Receptions and Open Houses
Homecoming and Reunion Weekend provides you with a number of opportunities to attend organizational open houses and affinity receptions Saturday afternoon and evening. Check the Homecoming program (available at the Check-in/Information Desk) for specific times and locations.
Homecoming Worship Service
Attend the Homecoming Worship Service which includes music by the Alumni Choir and Southwestern University Chorale and a memorial recognition of alumni and special friends who have died during the past year.
Alumni Athletics
Watch as alumni soccer players challenge one another and rally for the Lacrosse Alumni Game, where the 2007 LSA Conference Champions take on alumni lacrosse players. Check the Homecoming schedule for game times. GO PIRATES!
Attention, Former Students of Drusilla Huffmaster
Join Drusilla Huffmaster, professor emeritus of piano, as she celebrates her 90th birthday. The celebration is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 3, at 2 p.m. Former students, including Scott Carrell ’87, Bradley Gould ’71, David Lawson ’77, Cathy Degnan Lysinger ’91, Pamela Gregory Rossman ’72, Jane Woodman Schrum ’70 and John Wolf ’77, will perform. This event will take place off campus at the First United Methodist Church, 410 E. University Avenue, Georgetown.
Town and Gown: Explore Southwestern’s History in Georgetown
Join us on these one-hour tours of Georgetown. Participants will be driven around town and introduced to the historic homes and locations around Georgetown that were a significant part of Southwestern’s past. Tour vans will depart from the Cullen Parking Lot. View the Homecoming and Reunion Weekend schedule for tour times. Be sure to register to participate. Seating is limited!

Bring Your School Supplies
The Office of Career Services and members of the student organization Perfectly Pearl are gathering school supplies for alumni teaching in New Orleans through the Teach for America program. Please help your fellow alumni build their classrooms! When planning to attend Homecoming, please bring pencils, notebook paper, rulers, etc. Donation boxes will be set up at the Check-in/Information Desk and at the Alumni Hospitality House. Attention Alumni! Planning on coming to Homecoming and Reunion Weekend? Still need a place to stay? Please make your hotel reservations ASAP! Many hotels in Georgetown are already booked. However, there are still reservations being accepted at several hotels in Round Rock and North Austin. Visit the list of Local Accommodations for more information.
