Implementation Leadership
When the Alumni Association Board of Directors led by President Hillery Keith ’82 formally requested for the Alumni Self-Study to be conducted in 2001, they knew that taking a critical look at Southwestern’s alumni programs may ultimately result in change. Throughout the Self-Study process and implementation of the Self-Study Recommendations, the Alumni Board of Directors gave helpful feedback. Their willingness to initiate a self-study, to accept the ambitious recommendations and to support implementation is to be commended.
The Implementation Steering Committee (ISC) led by Bob Dupuy ’69 took the Self-Study Recommendations and began the process of implementing them. With representatives from the Alumni Board of Directors and the Alumni Self-Study Commission on the ICS, they determined which recommendations would be addressed first. Knowing that each recommendation would require further research and consideration, the ISC appointed task force teams and charged them with determining how best to bring the recommendations to life. Three years into a five-year, the ISC has enacted approximately 70% of the recommendations. View a Progress Report to learn what has been accomplished.
